Executive Vice President of Healthcare at Boys Town National Research Hospital
Deepak Madhavan, M.D., joined Boys Town National Research Hospital in May 2019. Throughout his tenure, he has held key leadership roles, including Executive Medical Director of the Pediatric Neuroscience Initiative, Chief Medical Office and Vice-President of Medical Affairs. In his current role as Executive Vice President of Healthcare, Dr. Madhavan plays an integral role in patient safety initiatives, accreditation activities, strategic planning and physician recruitment and retention.
Dr. Madhavan received his medical degree from the University of Nebraska Medical Center. He completed his neurology residency at University of Iowa Hospitals & Clinics in Iowa City, Iowa, followed by fellowships at NYU Langone Health. Dr. Madhavan obtained his Master of Business Administration from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in 2015 and was named a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives in 2021.
In addition to the industry leadership he provides through his role at Boys Town Pediatric Neuroscience, Dr. Madhavan has long served as an advocate for the epilepsy community throughout the state of Nebraska. He previously founded an epilepsy-focused nonprofit to assist with the social needs of patients affected by epilepsy.
