There is a balance there and a fine line. You don't want to be emailing or calling all the time but checking in early in the school year, introducing yourself and going to those open house nights, and certainly attending parent/teacher conferences.I think it's good to be proactive on the front end before there are concerns to establish that relationship in a positive way with your child's teacher.
