Growing up, Dr. Katherine Penny’s best friend’s Dad was a pediatrician. He encouraged her to volunteer at the hospitals when she was in high school, where she had the opportunity to watch doctors and nurses care for babies. “I knew I wanted to do the same thing,” said Dr. Penny. “Children have such joy and energy that it makes it fun to come to work every day,” she said. “I think it is an honor and a privilege to be here at Boys Town Pediatrics and to be trusted with the care of the patients.”
