​Dr. Sharad Kunnath joined Boys Town Pediatric Gastroenterology in 2010.  He knew at a young age that becoming a physician was his calling in life. Since deciding to pursue his life dream of becoming a physician, Dr. Kunnath has never had any regrets. He chose gastroenterology because of his keen interest in nutrition and its interplay with many chronic GI diseases such as Crohn’s disease, colitis and celiac disease. His medical philosophy is family centered care and working with the family in choosing what is best for the child with a holistic approach. Dr. Kunnath loves taking care of his patients and he doesn’t look at it as work. Being able to diagnose a child or young adult with a disease and getting them to that perfect stage of health where he/she almost forgets they have a chronic disease is truly satisfying for him.
